Working environment of the future: Innovative architectural concept for new IT & Security office of FACC

FACC's new architectural concept sets new standards in workplace design. The focus is on people with all their needs.

With a focus on modern workplaces, FACC has been committed to the continuous improvement and further development of the changing working environment for years. Now the company is taking the next step and is implementing a new architectural concept at its location in Upper Austria that puts the needs of its employees even more in the foreground. The newly established office of FACC IT & Security is playing a pioneering role here, as is the FACC Academy, which went into operation last September. Together with the Austrian architectural firm Innocad, a tailor-made concept was developed that takes into account the specific requirements of the IT & security division and is thus also considered a role model for further activities.

"Our goal is to create the optimal conditions for the best possible cooperation for our employees," emphasizes CEO Robert Machtlinger. "In this way, we are responding to the ongoing and rapid change in the working environment and are promoting a work culture that drives the development of innovation."

A central component is open office space that promotes exchange among employees. Work areas between which increased exchange is required were deliberately located next to each other. Part of the concept are both meeting zones that serve to exchange ideas, but also focus areas that will enable spatially separated and highly concentrated work for individual employees or small groups: The flexibly usable architecture focuses on the respective needs of the FACC CREW. Common areas such as meeting rooms or meeting zones have been centrally located and also reflect the corresponding importance of collaboration.

Atmosphere for well-being and productivity

Special attention was paid to an indoor climate that focuses on the well-being of the employees. To this end, the lighting mood in the new offices will be specifically tailored to the needs of the employees. The wall design is also an important aspect: so-called fractal patterns on the walls, which also occur in nature and have a relaxing effect on the human eye, contribute to a pleasant and productive working environment.

Corporate Architecture: The design language of FACC

The new offices not only focus on people and all their needs, but also convey the brand message of FACC. These include the reproduction of a horizon line on the side walls or the use of design elements that are based on manufactured products from FACC, including winglets or engine cowlings. The planned use of numerous plants also emphasizes the importance of sustainability in the company.
